Some Perspectives on Hyperlinks

Here are some perspectives on why and how to use hyperlinks—and how to use them well. First, a brief discussion by Rick Garlikov on the “Uses and Importance of Hyperlinks.” Next, a piece called “Hyperlinks: Why are they important” (a direct enough title)—you’ll notice that this site also has lots of other information about making a content website, should you want to explore it (note that because you are making a free WordPress blog, any information about coding and hosting will not apply to you). And this might be my favorite: a concise lesson on hyperlinks, including pointers on what/how much text to use when you link.

Above, of course, you have the hyperlinks to the sites I’ve mentioned. Below, I’ll also paste the URLs. See the difference? Hyperlinks are so neat—and convenient!
